This show was three months after Rehab Reunion was released – the all-dulcimer record. The dulcimer set includes a reinvented version of Every Little Kiss, which Bruce notes hadn’t been played a lot for years.
Life in the Psychotropics is a personal favourite of mine, and in 2022 remains unreleased on a studio record!
Ross Holmes picks up a solo while Bruce is fixing up his accordion, which becomes a terrific intro to On the Western Skyline. Listen for Sonny Emory on the same song.
Bruce plays Dreamland for Bonnie Raitt, which he thinks may be Bonnie’s favourite songs of his. And Bonnie singing Celestial Railroad is just special.
This version of Rainbow’ Cadillac is the reinvented “Mighty Rainbow” to close the show.
